Sector Scheme 12AB Operative Assessments - 12B Operative to 12A Operative in One day Upgrade Now!!

Due to recent Changes in the Assessment Process,


All candidates now under Assessment will be Awarded 12 A Operative Status on Completion of their Logbook.


 


In the past Operatives were required to be Assesssed on Studding / Markings & Cylinders in fixings with the operation and installation of tower lights to achieve this level,


 


Changes now in force Allow operatives to achieve 12A Status without being assessed installing Cylinders or studding.


The Tower Light unit is still required but can now be carried out off site.


 


For existing 12B Card Holders, RSUK is offering a 1 Day Conversion to 12A Operative status.

Streetworks qualification (6156) April 2010

The street works (Qualifications of Supervisors and Operatives) (England) Regulations 2009

In accordance with the latest regulations Units 002 and 010 are full qualifications in their own right from 6 April 2010

All operatives/supervisors are required to register their respective 002 and 010 full qualifications with the street works qualification register (SWQR) from 6 April 2011

From April 2011 there is a mandatory requirement for all operatives and supervisors to undertake a re-assessment every five years in order to renew with SWQR their street works cards.

Launch of the New Traffic Safety Control Officer Course (TSCO) New Route

TSCO Qualification Route


For those wishing to qualify as TSCO or re accredited from the 1 July 2008. The following criteria must be achieved before ID registration card will be issued:


a) Certificate of achievement from the Foreman’s training course for National Highway Sector Scheme 12.

b) Certificate of achievement for 4 day first aid course.

c) A Health & Safety Qualification. This may be:



  • Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) - Working Safely (1 Day); or

  • IOSH - Managing Safety (5 Day); or

  • Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Safety Awareness (1 or 4 Day course);

  • Any National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualification.


d) Passed the Lantra Awards training and assessment for Traffic Safety and Control Officer Course and hold the Lantra Awards ID registration card


We have now allocated course dates for the following:



  • 5th July

  • 6th July

  • 26th July

  • 27th July


The course’s are 1 day duration and require a 75% pass mark, space per course is 8.

We are also arranging Dates for 1 day IOSHH – 5 Day IOSHH and 4 Day Full Fist Aid.

ROAD SAFETY UK SECURES Construction Skills Health & Safety Approval as an IIBT Centre

 


 


We are pleased to announce in addition to our current Awarding Body Status, we have now secured approval for our Construction Skills Health & Safety Testing Unit.


 


The unit has been specialy designed and Constructed over the past 8 months by our Director Keiron O'Rourke.


The unit is a unique and one of a kind testing faciltity designed to meet the needs of the Construction Industry.


Currently the RSUK Testing unit is working hand in hand with our associates to develop and deliver a unique


form of E Testing for the future.
