Health and Safety Awareness Course

This course - 

  • Is designed so that delegates will be able to identify common hazards and know how to avoid them, respond effectively when accidents happen, understand legal obligations and their duties/responsibilities under the current legislation.

Duration - 

  • 1 day maximum 8 candidates.

Objectives -  

  • This course will cover the following -

  • Health and Safety at Work Related Legislation.

  • Accident reporting and emergency procedures.

  • Accident prevention.

  • Health and hygiene.

  • Manual handling.

  • Working at heights.

  • Working with electricity, underground/overhead cables and other services.

  • Use of hand held equipment.

  • Safe use of vehicles.

  • Noise and vibration.

  • Fire prevention.

  • Excavation and confined spaces.

  • The control of substances hazardous to health.

  • First aid.

Tests - 

  • Multiple choice paper, 75% pass mark

Who should attend - 

  • All personnel to increase the awareness of their own personal Health and Safety as well as those in their care, other colleagues and the general public.
